我记得这本书的书名有过另外两个版本，最早是《垂暮之战》 ，然后是《来自十二个星球的敌人》（译者在想啥啊），现在终于直译了。
斯卡尔奇的作品我以前只读过《红衫》，借了这本以后放在床头当睡前读物，导致我更加晚睡…
和《红衫》一样，这本书很幽默，但是它塑造的世界我不太喜欢：所有外星人都在打仗，而且有的外星人打仗理由还挺奇怪的，像是plot device强行解释。而且我发现斯卡尔奇会往故事里面添一个爱情故事，这本书里的情况还和《红衫》很类似，都是一个角色的妻子冥冥中出现在另一个女人身上（克隆/扮演）。如果下一本还是60%都是打仗我也不太想读了…

Just transferred all the data from my S21 Ultra to my new S23 Ultra and for a brief moment, it reminded me of a certain moment in @scalzi's #OldMansWar series of (incredible) novels. Of course, it'd spoil the story to say more than that.

During lockdown I rediscovered my love of reading - stumbling across #JohnScalzi #OldMansWar, which I loved and reminded a bit me of the #JoeHaldeman #ForeverWar series. Which led me to the #Bobiverse books by #DennisETaylor which I LOVED.

I won't spoil it in case you'll want to check it out, but it has an interesting new premise I haven't seen before. Scalzi is a really fun author to read; Sci-fi without being all stodgy about it.

Enjoyed #TheThreeBodyProblem, but The Dark Forest has left me in the weeds a bit (will return for another go at some point). Genuinely looking for suggestions!
