I bought a 16# tent peg hammer head at a recent auction. It'll be a helpful weight as needed, or a desktop paperweight!

Hah!
Found another thing in the loft, thos time an old Drill Press thingy ..
And it happens that the old BD66 router fits it perfectly... π
Liz got this old knife in the bottom of a box of "Misc Kitchen" at the auction last week.
This little beauty was hidden in one of the boxes of tools I got at the online auction last week.
Never opened.
Never used.
Even instruction booklet has never been removed.
Sweet.
Online auction bidding last week. Picked up this box of goodies for $6.
Tool restoration project #2 - a Stanley No. 144 ratcheting brace. I got a bit keen and didn't take any before photos, but it was covered in rust, and the maker's marks were not visible, so discovering it to be an England-made piece is a bit of a find.

Follow up from my all-crafting brother:
"If you come across a book on spinning brass, I need to find someone (or a book on how to do it myself) to spin a couple of tubes into conical bass on bocals. (16" brass tube 1/4" on one end with full circle single coil in between the 2 ends.) I've 2 baroque bassoons that need bocals & bagpipe reeds for the 1/4 end."
CC-ing @wion @thousandleaves @davepolaschek with hope you may know something!
Plz boost. Thx!

#Ancient stone mold for casting a #goddess figurine.
On the #mold we can see a number of small vents to remove any air from the mold during the metal casting process.
This mold was made almost 4,000 years ago, it was found in Nahariya #Israel

Beautiful extensive jewelry mold with infusion systems. It's made of limestone in the pyramid shape.
There are five sides with carved patterns of a spectacle fibula, a double axe pendant, and other round ornaments for pendants, earrings etc.
The mold was found in Methone, Greece, Macedonia. It's dated to the 8th-7th century BCE.
