A #question for the #arm / #sbc / #selfhosting #server people: has anyone run into issues with the #Olimex A20-OLinuXino-LIME2 due to the 32bit architecture of the A20 processor?
Thinking of using it for a low power solar server ala #lowtechmagazine

Are there standard #Debian 12 images for the #Olimex #Pioneer ready for download? I.e. a base system without the #Freedombox software, which I currently do not need?
https://wiki.debian.org/FreedomBox/Hardware/PioneerEdition
Ideally with #ext4, not #btrfs? I'm too lazy to build it myself 😞 TIA!

Its in, and i already played with it.

"Accidentally" bought a second #AgonLight (the #Olimex version this time - after all it IS cheaper!) Also 3D printed a case for it. First time I've used heat set threaded inserts in a 3D print. Which was interesting. It took a little finicking to get the threads properly lined up, since I was setting them by hand. Still, it all works. Yay!
@RockyC hello, thank you very much for caring and sharing about this with me!
However, if you are interested to Framework laptop, I believe you will also be interested to OLIMEX DIY Laptop.
I found this just a few seconds ago while writing the 3rd post above. It is far more cheaper, my friend, and they claimed all hardware parts are designed using Free Software.

No Tech Magazine has a great article about the bespoke #solar powered #server system that was built to host Low Tech Magazine' Blog partially #offgrid. Though relatively simple, the system is well considered and run tested. Kris de Decker is the creator of #notech and #lotech magazines. The server was made with the help of Marie Otsuka & Roel Roscam Abbing @rra.
I would like to replicate this #project with my own twist in the near future.

I am halting any kind of work on archlinux, parabola and pacman due to:
* Archlinux not giving a shit about aarch64 and actively blocks any kind of development for it
* ArchLinuxArm not replying to me and evidently removing my issue from their bug tracker about it
* Parabola, because Denis 'GNUToo' Carikli is keep kicking me from an IRC for no fucking reason
* Pacman is a trash package manager which source code should be put on a flash disk and thrown into a fire which would be a major help to address replication crisis in the computer science
The unfinished work that would provide a full compatibility of Parabola and ArchLinuxArm with all sunxi boards that currently builds a functional u-boot for OLIMEX Teres-A64 and can be easily adjusted to build other sunxi boards is provided on https://gist.github.com/Kreyren/97eef26fb6c92e3f6188b72b4dc2c26a
The preliminary ArchLinuxArm image for OLIMEX Teres-A64 which is using a hotfix with armbian u-boot, bootloader, kernel and kernel modules (due to lack of parabola's compatence to implement the required infrastructure) is provided on https://git.dotya.ml/kreyren/teres-a64-arch-preliminary
Fuck you arch and fuck you GNUToo

Will probably drop on providing an official support for Armbian's version for OLIMEX Teres-A64, the armbian maintainers are incompetent, waste everyone's time, are full of shit and constantly annoy me which blocks any kind of significant work imho.

The pain and misery i have to go through in #armbian to merge an official support for #olimex teres-a64 is somehow growing exponentially..

Im sure you already know about #olimex https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/open-source-hardware but I thought Id spam it here if someone needs to know.
Some years ago, I bought an #olimex #ice40 8K #fpga board, and 100 MHz ADC and DAC addon boards (*). I have never really used them.
Now I want try to use them to experiment with #sdr with fpga.
Anybody any good references on "getting started with SDR with FPGAs" ?
I guess I should start with a basic DDS circuit?
BTW. I'm on ubuntu so development will be with the open-source rool.

My Agon Light from @olimex arrived!

@vegafjord @matthewguy Well that's disappointing. Were you installing on the #Olimex or a different SBC?
After downloading the image, flashing the SD card, and connecting to internet cable, were you still unable to connect to freedombox.local via browser?
Testing out this new AgonLight2 Open Source Hardware board from #olimex. Look at this beauty❤️
