It has already been 14 years since I hiked the Hoh River trail to the moraine at the edge of Blue Glacier to see the top of Mt. Olympus. I rarely re-do a hike because there are so many to do, but I think I'll put this on my list for next year to revisit. Here are 4 shots I took with the mediocre camera I owned at the time, also before I started shooting in RAW format, so minimal processing has occurred here.

Bald-faced Hornets nest in Olympic National Park.
Hiking tip from personal experience: when you're looking down at the trail to step carefully in a technical section, don't forget to look up and check your head space, too! I looked up just in time to see this nest of bald-faced hornets only 3 feet away from my head. It's so nice of them to pose in the front door of their home for my picture (zoom in to see their faces!).

From last summer - the Kalaloch Tree of Life. Someday this will fall into the sea, it's been getting lower and lower, but we were able to see it at sunset.
