Inspired by my 0 controls disposable camera experience, I picked up an on eBay for £43! The lens is 40mm f/2.8 and remarkably sharp. This weird magical little box does proper auto exposure WITHOUT BATTERIES! Witchcraft.

Sent four rolls off today for processing and scanning, and I’m absurdly anxious that my camera has somehow borked itself over the past decade of inactivity, because it’s gone from being a thing I picked up for five dollars in an op shop as a teenager to a ludicrously expensive cult object and I cannot justify the expense to replace it.

A question for the community here: I'm looking at getting an and there's a company which says they do full camera refurbs, stripping down and rebuilding etc.

But then they're only offering a 30-day warranty. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that is too short a time to offer a warranty considering they're refurbing the whole camera?

Would love to know if it's just me being paranoid.

I acquired this beauty recently, but apparently the light meter doesn’t seem to work properly. In low light conditions I don’t see the red flag in the view finder and the shutter release button is not blocked. Guess the selenium cells are fault. The camera has been stored away for many years.
Anyone aware of a way to solve this?
