If everything works smoothly, the next stable version of #OmegaT (6.0) will be released on the 15th of May.
OmegaT 6.0 will require Java 11 to run. Machines that cannot upgrade to Java 11 will be able to use an equivalent Java 8.0 version (numbered 5.8).
We'll keep you updated!
finally got the translation done for new version of #opentoonz . This time I use #OmegaT to maintain the job, it worked great than expected.

Complex sentence-ending rules for Emacs based on OmegaT and Okapi Framework regular expressions
"This repo ports complex sentence-ending rules from OmegaT and the Okapi Framework to Emacs Lisp, and then provides sentence-based functions based on the rules. Two movement functions exist: sentex-forward-sentence and sentex-backward-sentence, as well as sentex-kill-sentence."

@JustAnotherTL That might be of interest to @DidierBriel and the #OmegaT crowd

3 years in the making, #OmegaT 6.0 is now very close to a release.

Weird how everything shifts to slow motion as one gets closer to the end of the process...

The Stax filters that were developped for the EU-DGT version of #OmegaT have just been included into OmegaT!!!
https://github.com/omegat-org/omegat/pull/356
Available in the nightly build later today đ„ł
https://sourceforge.net/projects/omegat/files/Nightly/
Day by day, the nightly build is getting closer to what we want OmegaT 6.0 to look like.
We live in super exciting times !!!đ
Thank you Thomas for your had work and thank you @miurahr for the integration.
What are the best practices in documentation authoring?
The #OmegaT community needs to find a process to properly document new features and the evolution of OmegaT, in sync with software development.
We need to properly structure our documentation.
We also need to find a style for our documentation.
People who are familiar with technical writing, but also the learning process are more than welcome to make proposals and to teach "us" what would/could work for this community.
#OmegaT release status update:
https://sourceforge.net/p/omegat/mailman/message/37758739/
Only a very few items left before the release process starts.
#OmegaT has just published a document that clarifies a number of items regarding:
- its license (#gpl3)
- data collection
- privacy policy
- cookies use on the web site
The document is based on what has been requested from us by various organizations that wanted to use OmegaT internally. We hope it's good enough.
