For the database case, I think those are legit interests and should be transferable. My main observation derives from Personal Information Systems like #TreeLine or #omnioutliner, which support the more data-rich storage of entities. Those *have* a use-case and shouldn‘t be ignored entirely - and sometimes a purposeful JSON is probably better.

I think they can serve the #PKM community well for applicable uses.
There are also #obsidian
#Omnifocus4 integrations worth exploring.
Anything that helps get from research notes to published deliverables/content is a win.

So the learning curve was much smaller. I tried #beorg and I really liked it. I just didn’t like that it didn’t index sun directories.

Since then I moved everything to #orgmode, on mobile I use #orgzly. I only miss my #orgroam when on mobile.
