Hi y'all! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Pan and I live in Canada. My education background is Civil Eng but I've been working as a #Data #Analyst for 3yrs.
I want to learn more fundamental #computer #science and #software #development knowledge, and hope to create my own app/web/business/something someday. Right now I'm in Georgia Tech #OMSCS program and working towards earning a CS degree!
I would love to connect with like-minded people so feel free to reach out!

Excited to kick off Computer Networks and Database Systems and Design tomorrow for Spring '23. #GradSchool #OMSCS
@cwdegidio @nova Hi Curtis! Welcome fellow #yellowjacket! #OMSCS is a great program. Lots of work but worth every minute. I graduated last May.
I never made my formal introduction, I should change that! I currently work in enterprise doing full-stack dev for #AEM in the financial sector. Most of my is #JavaScript, #Java, #HTML, and #CSS. Been a web developer for almost 15+ years. Finished my BSCS this past year, set to start Georgia Tech this year in the #OMSCS program.
Goals for 2023:
- Start transitioning away from web to #Swift / #Apple dev work
- Keep learning more Java related topics
- get through GT
Thanks @nova for #hachyderm!

Appropriately, after 2.5 years 100% online, I'm tuning into graduation via YouTube.

I guess an #introduction is in order. Hi, I'm Roman, a #devops engineer and grad student at #georgiatech #omscs. I'm here for #journalism, #foss stuff, and #wildlifephotography. #lgbtq ally and lover of #tiki. Personally, I picked #hachyderm because I appreciated @nova's honesty about the tech and privacy situation.

Just realised that uni (#OMSCS) starts in less than a month! Argh that crept up on me.
Does anyone have tips on balancing coursework with work? It’s been a while & it wasn’t CS before.
If anyone else is doing the same degree, lmk. I’d love to have a study buddy or ten!
Just moved off of the waitlist into the last course needed to meet the Georgia tech online masters in CS requirements for the machine learning branch. Should be gtg spring 2023. Light is at the end of the tunnel. #omscs
It’s not going to get me a pay bump or raise, but I have enjoyed diving into topics and projects in stuff that I don’t get to do at my day job. I just also like having weekends.
I’ve mostly learned how to read/implement papers and that math is fun — even if I’m bad at it.
