Went walk out running an errand today.

Shot with a fun little fisheye: #7Artisans 7.5mm on an #OMSystems OM-5. I don’t have a lot of practice with a lens that wide and my composition needs work. Having spent more time with really long manual lenses it was fun but having to work with fiddly focusing though

The #Olympus (now #OMSystems ) smartphone app is called #OIShare & it’s so incredibly bad. It often takes me 4 or more cycles of turning wifi on/off to get it to connect, the Geotagging setting CONSTANTLY turns itself off, the remote control feature has never worked for me & the difficulty connecting means taking out the SD card & connecting it to my phone/laptop is way way faster & less frustrating. #Panasonic & #FujiFilm apps work way better for me - and they're nothing to write home about.

Experimenting with a “vintage” lens. Nikon 300mm f4 @ an OM Systems OM-5 with the metabones 0.71x focal reducer so effectively an 425mm f2.8 on my m43 body.

I need a lot more practice focussing it manually; there is a viltrox focal reducer that should work with its autofocus but that I don’t have.

So here are some shots taken around downtown Victoria.

@Kebablog it’s a function called ‘Live Comp’, Steve. It takes a background exposure and then adds as many extras, adding only the new highlights each time.
You can watch the exposure ’develop’ for e.g. car light trails, and stop when you have seen enough.
This was 4 hours of stars, each at 10 sec, foreground just one 10 sec 😅 #olympus #OMSystems
