@katrinbretscher When it comes to our own recovery, we cannot depend on others to ensure it.

Nobody has a "responsibility" to make their event safe. They can choose to.

But alcoholics and addicts are notoriously risk takers. And, we're impulsive.

So we must protect our recovery, especially in situations that are risky. I do so by not going there. I know how easy it is for me to say F-it!
