The latest track I'm working on for my #OneManBand #Demo, "fishing for chicken", is a little ditty I've been working on since 2011. Currently under the working title of "Dick", it's all about that guy. You know the one. The man who lives his life at everyone else's expense, and doesn't seem happy unless the whole world around him is pissed off Adam.

I'd refrain from recording it for the first demo, because at the time, I felt like it was too close to a certain psychic vampire who just got kicked out of the White House, but here in 2023, it feels more appropriate than ever. Because there's plenty of dicks out there if you know where to look.

By the end of tonight, I should have this thing recorded. And then, I'll only have three tracks to go. And these will probably be the hardest, because I'll need to break out the electric guitar for this one, and I haven't played since 2022.

Finished recording the instrumental for the next song that'll be included on my upcoming #OneManBand, #demo, "Fishing for Chicken". The right things are going, I might actually finish this demo by the end of 2023. Don't hold me to that release date, though. I do have a baby on the way..

There are two notable amateur films in the National Film Registry. One of them is the Zapruder film, the other Sid Laverents' Multiple SIDosis (1970).

Sid Laverents was an airplane engineer and former one-man band vaudevillian who in his fifties, joined the #SanDiego Amateur Moviemakers Club. One of his best known outputs, Multiple SIDosis, took him and his 16 mm #Bolex four years and 1,900 feet of celluloid to make.
