It is sometimes difficult to escape being depressed about the state of humanity and its future when we think about the scale of challenges we face.

It's unfortunately all too easy to feel that there's no way out; that we're inevitably doomed to live out what few days we have left before madness, barbarity and slaughter overcome us.

What can be done about this?

To strike at the root of such a problem as an unbridled materialism that denies the reality and the operation of human virtues, it's necessary to offer an alternative, one that acknowledges both the material and spiritual needs of humanity; that restrains humanity in its self-degradation and allows it to soar to the heights of altruism and solidarity.

When will we find such an alternative? Only when humanity's #oneness and #unity are recognized. This is simply the prerequisite for progress.

@paulkatz I take it a step further. I really like it when Rumi said, "We are not a drop in the ocean, we are the ocean in the drop."

Therefore in the puzzle model, it is a hologram where every piece contains the entirety of the puzzle within it.

That is what we are. Unique and individual pieces interconnecting to form a whole.

It's also why we have to understand that we are not separate from each other.

Separation is an illusion.

As long as we believe in separation, there really won't be authentic peace.

I don't know that I've ever seen the idea of oneness expressed in quite this way (which is a bit shocking because it seems so obvious), but it just popped in there, so here goes:

Oneness is a finished puzzle.

Each piece is its own unique pattern and shape, which interconnects with other unique patterns and shapes.

Once all the pieces of the puzzle are connected, you have oneness comprised of all the pieces. (cont'd; 1/2)
