Feeling all peopled out, after #oneWeek100people2023 though haven’t reached 100 yet. The ladies were sketched in pencil from photos, the cartoons and silhouettes were done on procreate. Eyes, nose, poses, lips, legs they all need a lot more practice especially across different medium but you learn by doing #mastoart #learningtodraw

There’s a famous poem by Jenny Joseph called ‘When I am an old lady I’ll wear purple’ and so this lady I drew on procreate as part of the #oneWeek100people2023 is dressed in purple. The lipstick is a bit over the top but her hair is seriously stylish #mastoart

Another #oneWeek100people2023 quick sketch of an elderly person this time working from a photo on procreate. It is amazing how hard eyes are to get right even when working from a photo. These are most definitely wrong here. Another thing is this elderly person looks a bit sad and lifeless whereas the person in my photo was full of life. I need to try in my next sketch to convey some joy and energy #learningtodraw #mastoart

Here is one of the 100 people I’ll try and sketch this week. She is an elderly lady living in a care home, my sketch doesn’t do Justice to her beauty. Some of the people I’ll try and draw this week will be elderly because elderly people are underrepresented in art. My first attempt with Coloured pastel pencils, they are very messy so the picture and my hands got a bit smudged. #oneWeek100people2023 #oneweek100people #mastoart #learningtodraw
