"c"bc has actually got a couple decent stories out there today.
This one on the long-standing neglect of the Canadian state's actual legal commitment to the housing of Indigenous and Métis peoples far predating the state's prime minister's recent comments and the crisis most settler canadians are finding relevant to their housing:

This one contains a couple lines of a laughable, mocking-worthy assertion (more or less) by an ontario ministry of housing staffer that somehow the province just didn't know their developer friend's application to blow up some regulations to profit off more suburban mcmansion sprawl would be in violation of the greenbelt until some public resident brought it up in a consultation 🤣:

' guess all this outside pressure is finally getting to dofo and his cronies...
And finally "Developers bought Hamilton Greenbelt property a month before Ontario revealed plans to open it up for housing".
Wherein the executive assistant of one of the developers said it is "pure coincidence" the closing date of Oct. 6 fell between the unnamed developer's request and when the lands were removed, and didn't respond directly when asked if the company knew the #Greenbelt land would become available for development:

' skeptical that the federal pipeline-purchasers and greenwashers have much authentic concern about the greenbelt but there's probably a lot of liberal base votes to rile up so here they go...

While the auditor general's report didn't include any smoking gun-that-will-definitely-lead-to-F0rd/C1ark's-arrest relevant to the selection of land parcels and/or dealings with developers, this is interesting from @mikedesouza :

(Note that it's in reply to a not-worth-reading water-carrier for the f0rd government who's sleeping with f0rd's press secretary/communications director or whatever)

' counting down the last minutes until the release of ontario's auditor general's report like 👀
(Not that ' expecting much info from these land/housing speculators who refused to cooperate or otherwise to come of it in the way of justice or even much electoral results)

#ONGreenbelt protected farmland is highly productive!
But what does that mean? At just 6.1% of Ontario's farmland, the Greenbelt accounts for 53% of Ontario's fruit acreage & 11% of Ontario's vegetable acreage.
