I wish we had a "universal" lightweight federated protocol for transmiting asynchronously messages. Kinda like email, but less text-y and with more emphasis in security and privacy, and designed to be a base for future federated services.

Ideally it would be a bit like but without the "double encryption" to save on processing time. (I want this to work even on )

Perhaps this could be my final year project for my bachelors in computer science. What do y'all think?
