I’ve been told the #antisemitism and #antivaxx anti-mask attacks are my own fault, for speaking.

I’ve also been explicitly told that I don’t understand racism/equity.

In my opinion, advocacy as an MD and @OCDSB trustee should never lead to people saying they want to gas your family. But what do I know?

And despite it all - and sadly there is more, but I can’t talk about yet - here I am, still speaking.

The Financial Accountability Office released two reports showing cuts to education until 2029 to the tune of $12 billion despite having a surplus. This includes monies unspent and missing funds that were meant to be used during the pandemic. It is a point that I have been calling on for the last three years. I hope this leads to wider inquiries.

The end of the walking school bus program in #Ottawa is upsetting, as education and school transportation are grossly underfunded. Yes, we should encourage active transportation (cycling, walking, etc). We must prioritize the environment as well as the health of the community. Also, transportation for special education and getting suburban/rural children to school are vital. All of it should be funded, IMO.
