2022 is over. It was a year that was. I won a teaching award and made some significant changes in my personal life that will bear fruit but I won’t know for a long while how big the harvest. But there were no major upsets. All in all, 2022 was neither here nor there. After the past few years, I consider that a win. #happynewyear #retrospective2022 #onwardandforward

So often the initial steps in legal protections like #MarriageEquality aren’t nearly as comprehensive as they need to be to provide true “protections” & progress is terribly slow following them. After all, it was 8+ years ago that #EdieWatson won her landmark #SCOTUS case striking down the Defense of Marriage Act #DOMA.
