Maybe at the local level, but the country has always been a republic where the rich land owners screw over the poor and working class folks. Look at the Bicameral house and the electoral college for why we are not a Democracy, as a voter in Wyoming has roughly 7 times the power to decide national elections that someone in California or TX does.

Voyager season 2 episodes 9 and 10 are things that happened.
In the first, 'Tattoo', the exemplar is given for when Star Trek tries too hard, goes half-arsed and then adds "ancient humans? No, it was aliens!" narrative to a space exploration story. Which is three solid "oof!"s in one episode, which is impressive.
In the second, 'Cold Fire' the opening actually acknowledges that you've probably been sleeping through most episodes since s01e01, or didn't but forgot most of it entirely because your brain space is reserved for things less boring. Which is a series level "oof!". Extra impressive.

Just had the weirdest thing happen to me. I was checking my #linkedin and noticed I had a new message from a #tech recruiter.

After checking the message, it turns out the recruiter didn't send me a message, but I sent them a message... yesterday... while I was working...

Not sure how this happened, but I certainly didn't send that message. If someone were to compromise my account (already changed my password), then what would they gain from sending that message?
