I DID IT AGAIN!

In pruning my inactive Mastodon following/followers -- I hit the wrong button again!

That "remove all users from this domain" is much too dangerous to have available for the mindless clicking!

"Remove selected users" is what you want!

PLEASE RE-FOLLOW if you were FOLLOWING!

(I try to maintain a 1:1 Follow/Follower ratio and as you can see in the screenshot below... it isn't that way any longer!)

Hit that "you should check your #backups" thing today.

Found backups hadn't been running for a while. Fixed it. Ran overnight. Assumed all was okay. But the test restore had silently failed.

Dig into it. We're using Intelligent Archiving on S3. Snapshots had failed for long enough that some still used blocks are now archived. And so the restore can't access them.

Yesterday morning I was inspired to make a quick batch of ginger molasses cookies before going to work. It’s never a good idea to do a project like that when I am rushing. I preheated the oven forgetting that I had put a tray with a lot of wax on it in there, but I hadn’t put anything under it to catch the wax so let’s just say it was very stinky and messy for a while. Had to have the windows open despite the 20 F weather (-7 C). #Ooops
