I really wanted to understand what was going on with the inversion in the one case and the +1 in the other case. Today in a boring meeting it came to me how I could think of these two kinds of opamp amplifiers.

I reverse my retraction. The problem *is* that I accidentally swapped the inverting and non-inverting inputs. I got confused because in my I was looking at the mix (which was broken in both) but on the test circuit I was looking at the inverse mix (which was fine in both).

It's weird that I had to develop skills in to be able to use them elsewhere. Decades ago, I was unable to debug and I gave up.

Tomorrow: Patching a

The new interlocking cases with clear covers are nice.

Whether these bits are any good on or is another matter. The deWalt bits I had were no good (and one set I just got is likely identical to one I had, except for the case).

I don’t do much HW stuff, but sometimes am drilling into thing to house hokey little projects (such as my continuity detector for making sure I didn’t screw up the connections in the next version).

Found a really nice to design my detector for my project. It has really low input bias current and offset . It's a bit slow with a slew rate of about 0.35v/us (would take about 14 to rise from 0 to 5v) but, for my needs, this is perfect. Also found a better detector that has high sensitivity around 280nm. Time to draft a amplifier !
