I think that this over-focuses on the royalty-free / gratis part of the arrangement, rather than the liberties.

Being able to pursue those who do harm, especially to marginalized communities and other vulnerable people, is important.

But I hesitate to codify this in license terms, especially when the sole right is held by a single for-profit corporation.

I'm sure you've all heard the buzz about Hasbro and WOTC's OGL shenanigans. We're here to say we support open licensing and the community, and all our games will have that. What they're trying to do is bullying at BEST, and downright criminal at worst. It especially impacts indie 3PP who make their brands and livelihoods based on this most popular of games.
