Ein tolles Feature nicht nur fürs Eisenbahnnerdherz in der #OsmAnd Karten- & Naviapp ist das Einblenden der Daten von #OpenRailwayMap. So werden die Streckenführung, Gleispläne, Geschwindigkeiten und Zugsicherungssysteme ersichtlich. Ziemlich geil, weil sich in OsmAnd einzelne Verkehrsträger sonst nicht highlighten lassen.

So I'm thinking of taking a subset of #OpenRailwayMap and coloring/modifying width of the lines I'm interested in depending on the number of trains per day (i.e. the more trains the thicker the line + a label showing the number). Could anyone suggest a tool that I could use to do something like that easily?

Worst case, I'll just make a #graph in GraphViz without a real #map ;-).

Especially since #OpenRailwayMap project is about rail infrastructure (finer granularity than #OpenStreetMap #OSM), it's quite disappointing that a) search doesn't find most places by name, b) nor does site URL show, or allow entry of, map coordinates… like every other normal mapping app (see previous post for URLs w/coordinates)

Da braucht man die #openrailwaymap einmal dienstlich, ist sie down...

Muss halt doch wieder der #Eisenbahnatlas her halten.
