So, Neal Stephenson appears to be fascinated with #VirtualReality. When I've read "Snowcrash" and now "Fall or Dodge in Hell," I also get fascinated with it as well and install my own instance of #opensimulator. I've been playing with writing a script that when touching an object will prompt me to write a message that will get posted to a mastodon feed. There was some head scratching but I now have @SamuelLoire posting to my #osgrid instance. Text for now. I'll work on pictures next.

Fixed. Added those two boxes to my #OSgrid #WrightPlaza shop and the OSgrid #RuthAndRoth region area with lots of Ruth and Roth stuff in general. Thanks for mentioning it; I like to keep everything available as much as I can.

Roth2 v2 is a heavily modified version of Roth2RC1/RothTooRC1. The "v2" is what they now use instead of "RC2". They decided RC:"Release Candidate" didn't really represent what it was; so are using v:"version" instead.

In any case, Roth2 v2 is quite different from RothTooRC1 in a lot of respects.

OK.... once and for all, I will have to be real, and create a 6.7 foot/2 meter shape for myself (and maybe one alt) in #secondlife and #opensimulator . Ugh, that's at least eight accounts worth for me, but I can keep it down a bit... might use Kitely for the 2m takes.

I have found a P'ted version of the Irina head in OpenSim. Currently I have curvier takes going on for her in Kitely, but the 2m version will be slimmer. That's because there's no autohide alphas for any mesh clothing in OS. /1

Well I got on #SecondLife and #OpenSimulator again. It’s lived long enough that we can do a post-mortem about the metaverse & society’s future. Mainly: people only gather by necessity; they'll isolate otherwise. The metaverse isn’t going to work without a gathering incentive. And the future of real life will consist of people living in pods.

#osgrid is back online. I think I'll change out of this all black ensemble though...
