I'm not sure if anyone recorded the years when Web3 / Web3.0 were first talked about.

There was a conference called "LeWeb3" back in 2006/2007(?) which talked about the #SocialWeb and #OpenSocial.

And a little correction, yhr #SemanticWeb / #LinkedData community was the first to use "Web3.0", as far as I can remember, around 2008(?).

(Trying to rack my brain. =)) )

@bob yep it was the days when #dontbeeval might still have been the moto and everyon and his dog were comeing up with #openweb projects - at leaset #opensocial was built on good grassroots tech standerds - intresting you can see the root https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenSocial of #activertypub which it self came from #pubsubhub which came from #atompub which came from #atom which came from #rss

@bob that's intresting we has a whole project based on #opensocial back in the day when everyone was moveing to #failbook now that was the days of uphill battles against the #dotcons
