From earlier this week along the trail I regularly ride. The trail in this section is along the top of the east side Rio Grande levee. The river is beyond the large cottonwoods on the right, the bosque. Most years there are easily a dozen of these lovely Sacred Datura plants; this is the only one thriving this season. Perhaps due to lack of rain this summer. The grasses are dry and brown. I'm lucky that I can ride here from my home.

@GratianRiter vielen Dank, mit Tim Kantereit habe ich bereits gesprochen und ausgetauscht. Er machte schon lange bei #X #twitter „Werbung“ u.a. für LS und Edu-Scrum. Ich wollte ein #OpenSpace in meiner Schule mit dem Kollegium durchführen (den Begriff fand ich verständlicher als „Barcamp“). Das gute ist, dass du nach Zielen suchen kannst, bei mir im Unterricht oder bei FoBis meist der „Austausch“ oder „Lösungsfindung“.

@chriscorrigan Actively working with #constraints is helpful and necessary. It's the effect on participant agency and participant power that decide (for me).

Maybe referring to specific examples helps: contrast e.g. how the five principles and one law of #OpenSpace increase agency and power; or how the three principles and three practices of #TheCircleWay foster individual participation; vs. how the process of #RitualDissent takes away agency and power & brutalizes the #facilitator (IMO).

@chriscorrigan There's still a difference between control of an agreed-upon process and suppression of topics.

Noticed already years ago attacks on #OpenSpace, especially on the #LawOfMobility, along the lines of we can't allow people to choose what matters to them, when "in fact" they "need" to talk about something else.

Trash-TV-style, constrained "discussion" formats followed: #intermediaries "presenting" summarized ideas of a group; having to "listen" to "criticism" and "reporting" back
