Hat jemand einen ähnlichen Aufbau im Einsatz? Wenn ja, wie ist euer Router für IPv6 konfiguriert?

Does anybody uses openwrt at home for private use? What is your experience? I would love to use it instead of for example a Fritzbox, but I have the fear that on one hand it's very time consuming plus more expensive and on the other hand wifi setup is a little bit difficult. Und muss man auf dem Router zusätzliche Pakete installieren oder ist es wirklich so einfach, nur das USB-Kabel einzustecken und schon ist man über das iPhone online?

I was using a #RaspberryPi running #OpenWRT as my router, but my ISP boosted my connection to 1Gbit and the poor thing couldn’t keep up. I’m currently using my ISPs supplied Linksys Velop router, but I’d much rather run something I can tinker with. Any recommendations?

Wenn ich nach #WireGuard schaue, sehe ich Posts, wo sich Personen freuen, dass ihre Fritz!Box nun endlich WireGuard unterstützt. Freie Routerbetriebssysteme wie #OpenWrt oder #VyOS haben schon seit langem diese Unterstützung. Ich finde es schade, dass so viele proprietäre Routerbetriebssysteme verwenden 😐🙁😭

You could put #OpenWRT on the access point. I find it much friendlier to use than RouterOS

I had an old #MikroTik HAP AC Lite sitting around, so I tried putting #OpenWRT on it as an exercise. If I got MikroTik again, I would probably just go with OpenWRT from day 1

My various projects (#orangepi, router, fpga and laptop etc) are powered in my garage by a small #solar setup. I upgraded my WiFi bridge (connecting the garage to our house) from a #raspberrypi running #openwrt to a GL.inet GL-AR300M16 router. It was super easy to setup and I’ve reduced my power usage from 470Wh in 24hrs down to 410Wh (about 16W). While a small improvement it will make the winter a little more reliable.
