I have over 10 years in IT and finally opted in for a B.S. in Science, Cybersecurity & Information Assurance. I'm a year into my program and 50% finished already. I've acquired an A+, Net+, Sec+, ITILv4, currently working on Project+ and will start other certs in my next term.

What is the number one skill you would recommend for someone trying to really get deep into CS? For context; I'm very technically inclined, definitely not pentest level yet but I will be next year. I'd love to really learn compliance but I also truly enjoy the more technical side of things.

I could use some guidance from the pros in the field currently.

Ugh, I can't decide. Should I use NodeJS or PHP to build my #Goodreads alternative? I can't decide, and I don't know what would be "best" not only for handling users safely but also for maximum installability/platform support (for future federation)

I don't really have a preference for either, but I want to choose the best option for maintainability and resistance to obsolescence... Any thoughts?
