Stepped away from #Minecraft for years. Came back to look at it briefly because the kid wanted to know if I could run a local server for him and his friends (repurposed a #RaspberryPi 4 for that) and have learned that #Optifine is still a thing. It's a third party "plugin" that extends MC with a stack of features which honestly should be built in by default. Really, really surprised that it is STILL separate and after each MC official release you need to wait and wait until Optifine is tweaked and made compatible. Meh. Just include all OF stuff into MC already!

#Minecraft c'est trop bien. Avec mon nouveau #pc je peux utiliser les #shaders. J'ai essayé #sildur , #BSL, #Complementary et #SEUS. Je sais pas encore lequel sera mon choix définitif.J'ai aussi testé #Iris à la place de #optifine, et le jeu est beaucoup plus fluide. La distance d'affichage des chuncks est dingue. L' optimisation du #jeu est parfaite. Manque le texturepack.

Die Kinder sind begeistert! Ab sofort läuft #Minecraft (Java Edition) auf deren #RaspberryPi 4 bzw. 400. Das Setup war sehr einfach dank #PiApps, siehe https://github.com/Botspot/pi-apps. Dann noch den OpenGL Treiber aktiviert und 512 MB Grafikspeicher eingestellt. Minecraft läuft auf den niedrigsten Einstellungen gerade noch spielbar. Als nächstes muss ich schauen, wie man das mit #Optifine verbessern kann.
