I know not everyone agrees that #optout #telemetry is a dark pattern, but you might agree with me about this one after you see it documented:

If you are familiar with #helm, you won't despair because you have the power of `analytics.enabled: false`. That works on the rest of this chart and is the standard way to en/disable things.

@shibacomputer I also noticed in my own #optout experiments that security is a major flaw in decentralized systems. Especially when you run your own services, and it’s a patchwork in which elements are constantly falling behind etc. For its strengths, even in security, FOSS community software can’t assume that among its users, no one is especially vulnerable, power regimes are stable, users share values, and the enemy is never within.
