Even on #Exadata, it will take a while to read 30+ TB from 3 tables. I think there is probably a way to optimize this query from an #OracleDatabase perspective. 🤨

In the "Is it a bug or a feature?" department -- in Oracle Database 23c (developer edition), the DBA role grants privileges (directly or via another role) to see tables owned by SYS in ALL_TABLES, but cannot see triggers owned by SYS in ALL_TRIGGERS. This has changed since 19c.

As I play with 23c FREE Domains, I found out I can make & use context sensitive constraints for the DOMAIN.

Next up: to create and use DB State constraints ( ie [NOT] EXISTS constraints)

I finally figured out why the example code in Tim Hall's posted ( @oraclebase ) for #oracledatabase 23c DOMAIN was not working as expected for DOMAIN_CHECK

One has to CAST the values to data type that was defined in CREATE DOMAIN.

- cast( 'grape@fruit.com' as varcahr2(100) )
- cast( 'grape@fruit.com' as email_dom)
