Huh, I guess recreating the 19th century system of robber barons has been a mistake?

It's certainly done bad things for a prominent microblogging website.

I wonder if it's had any other negative effects.

I'm sure we'll find out in retrospect.

Paraphrase of a comment I saw today in a thread about the bad place. From an investor and enthusiast of a well known electrict vehicle company:

""I have recently come to the conclusion that allowing unlimited wealth and power to accrue in the hands of a single individual has probably been a mistake."

Damn, so the labour movement really were on to something 200 years ago, and all the gains they've made since in this regard... have mattered.
