#India successfully launched its first #space mission to study the #sun on Sat, ~1 week after becoming the 1st country to land an unmanned robotic #spacecraft near the moon’s south pole.

The #AdityaL1’s mission is to observe the outer atmosphere of the sun.

“The vehicle has placed the #satellite precisely into its intended #orbit. India’s first #solar #observatory has begun its journey to the destination of Sun-Earth L1 point,” the #ISRO said.

Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) goal was to divert the moonlet #Dimorphos from its #orbit, to demonstrate that an asteroid could be redirected in the case of a catastrophic course toward Earth.

I'm not sure if this will help the problem I'm working on, but it'll be fun trying to find out.
