I bought this Haraella retrocalla #orchid a couple of weeks ago and came home to find it in bloom! Looks like this is the last bloom of the season, with a root developing nearby.

This Sarcochilus ceciliae is the first orchid I've grown from deflask to bloom. Some people call these Fairy Bells; the small cupped flowers grow on thin spikes, dancing in the wind - I can see why they'd get the name.

This Paphiopedilum armeniacum had its roots rotted in old media. All but one root fell off when I removed it to repot, and that root was dead. I sprayed it with Physan-20 and potted the base of the plant in new fine bark mix with the dead root and a support post to hold it in place. I've been carefully controlling watering and fertilizer (20-20-20 plus a kelp based solution) and... I lost the bottom leaf, but two months later I have a new leaf and a new growth!
