**i only found out Annie Ernaux won last year’s Nobel Prize when I was looking for her book “Happening”. Great read, highly recommend with CW: abortion, miscarriage, graphic. Ernaux’s experience having an abortion at a time it was v. illegal, & v. difficult to get good care.

Some ordinary joys:
❤️ Choosing the sticker for my monthly journal (given I drew the 10 of Wands as my card for June, 'big gulp' seemed appropriate...)
❤️ Seeing my husband snoozing with the cat on our couch
❤️ Watching the smoke puff out of my neighbour's chimney and knowing her lounge will be a cosy haven for her cats
❤️ Sipping rooiboos tea from my favourite mug (the bright yellow Pikachu one)
❤️ Eating a bowl of ready salted crisps
