I’ve tried to look beyond these box ticking exercises and think more about their future potential. How might they shape the workplace to be better long after I’ve left?
And if they are lacking in experience or from a marginalised group, how can I best support them? That last one is important in a white male dominated #Technology and #UXDesign industry.
I don’t think I’ve always done the best at this and it’s something that keeps me up at night.

The last year and a bit was the first time I‘ve been in a position of power when it comes to #hiring.
It strikes me how imperfect the process can be for people, even in the most well meaning of organisations. For example, not sending questions in advance.
Or setting generic tasks in a misguided attempt to see how the candidate does “under pressure”

A half-formed musing rattling around my head on how #technicalArchitecture shapes the organisation and so the #customerExperience.
That Churchill quote about buildings and #ConwaysLaw in a vicious or virtuous cycle.
