Feeling sick every day is frustrating. But what ultimately hurts even more is having to watch one friend (or even acquaintance, family or community members) after the other fall into ableist behavior by participating in the normalization process of this disease. I don't think i ever felt so alone.

Organized state abandonment may have been instigated by the state, but the state knew it could count on individual people and communities to impose it in every nook and cranny of society.
