Someone recently shared this article about a new theory about time being an object. Maybe it's just my personal religious bias, but does anyone else feel like this aligns almost perfectly with the Chronus/Ananke myth in the Orphic Rhapsodic Theogony, and ultimately the unfolding of everything?

In my research of the Orphic Mysteries, a figure I've found to be mysteriously absent in a lot of my sources is Ariadne, one of the lovers of Dionysus. Perhaps she held a more esoteric role, which is why she doesn't appear much in exoteric research. Or maybe her relationship to Dionysus was irrelevant to the Orphic Mysteries. I find this latter theory to be the least interesting because her role in the Minotaur's Labyrinth myth feels (to me) thematically Orphic. Especially since the Roman Ariadne is often syncretized with Prosperpina (Roman Persephone).

But if anybody knows of any Orphic sources that discuss Ariadne, please let me know!

In the Orphic tradition, Persephone is a Goddess of Justice in addition to being the Queen of the Underworld. She is also identified as the mother of the Erinyes (Furies), fierce Goddesses who punish those who harm others.
