August Macke, Bright House, 1914

Macke's meeting with Robert Delaunay in Paris in 1912 was to be a sort of revelation for him. Delaunay's chromatic Cubism, often called Orphism, influenced Macke's art from that point onwards. Bright House is focused on bright colors and geometrical composition which is still attached in reality but heading towards abstraction.
