I get why this is the sort of story #scicomm publications want to run with, but it's really not a meaningful question in #linguistics, and trying to make it more answerable by basing #language age on #languages with #writing is not the greatest message as it implies that many of those unwritten #endangeredlanguages they mention have less value.

I just love the shapes and flow of the letters. And having two forms of lowercase sigma, based on where it occurs in a word, is pretty cool.

I think "minuet" as used here is a #typo that was meant to be "minute", but somehow it still works for me as "minuet".

To be determined by linguistic root of the word I think, but maybe someone with actual expertise will elucidate.
