Reinstalled the stock caps on my #planckez #ortholinear keyboard. I swear I nearly lost one of the tiny inserts. A real PITA.

Oy. #framework16 preorders. Gosh I want one so bad.

But I'm going to try using my #steamdeck as my portable solution for now and see how far I can take that. (I'm not actually a fan of laptop configurations, preferring my #ortholinear mechanical keyboard.)

I went down the ortholinear split keyboard rabbit hole quite fast. As a side project, I am currently building a custom split keyboard, that fits the shape of my fingers well. Almost finished the PCB design.

Since I am typing quiet a lot, reducing strain is probably a good idea. #keyboard #splitkeyboard #ortholinear

After thinking "#DoomEmacs helps me understand the ortholinear kbd people better" I pulled my #Planck out of the drawer for a spin.

I quickly remembered why it didn't take last time: I don't understand how people switch between staggered and #ortholinear layouts.

I saw a video of someone who rests his Planck on a special MacBook keyboard cover. Looks like carpal tunnel apocalypse.

In the mean time, just re-learning how to survive in Evil mode is providing plenty of brain stimulation.

And I did order a BM40 47 key #ortholinear #40percent keyboard to accompany the "new" Dell tablet. This time with #Gateron Brown Pro v2 pre-lubed switches. These are well invested 5ct markup compared to regular switches.

After I liked reviung 41 a lot, I decided to order and build reviung5, so I could use it next to whatever I use 😊

Update on the state of the keyboard. First day of real use done. I can touch type #Dvorak on #ortholinear now. So happy! (#dyspraxia) I did remap some keys though. Caps lock moved to upper right corner and is only used as modifier. Backspace and Esc (vim!) moved one row lower.

Yay, the replacement for the 12yr old #Thinkpad x220 is a 3yr old Dell Tablet (5290 with i5). Keyboard will eventually be a 40% #ortholinear keyboard with mouse emulation in one layer.

After some playing around and flashing the board, here is the final set up for my lil Preonic keyboard
