Bastelstunde am Ortur Laser weil wir ihm ein neues 10W Lasermodul gekauft haben. Original war bisher ein 5W. Hier also schon mal doppelte Leistung.
Weil jetzt eine neue Platine und weitere Kabel hinzukamen musste eine Art Kabelführung mit Halterung für die Platine her. In der Folge entstand dadurch ein neuer Kollisionspunkt und so hab ich auch noch gleich die Lüftung komplett überarbeitet. Genau darum liebe ich 3D Druck. #ortur #Laser #3dprinting

The manual warns strongly against switching from flat cutting to roller cutting without turning the laser off, reconfiguring cables, altering settings, and thinking twice, but then they put this switch in the most unprotected, protuberant position possible! 😱

3 beeps + 2 flashes of purple light on startup can be decoded in the manual to:
"Abnormal Voltage Condition!"
😱

When translated into panicked-human talk, it means:
"the USB cable to your laptop can provide enough electricity to power the controller, but NOT the actual laser; you need to TURN THE LASER POWER SUPPLY ON!"🤦‍♂️
