finally caved and installed #HomeAssistant on one of the random #RaspBerryPi boards I've had sitting around since migrating from #OSMC to #FireStick for #Kodi around the house

I don't have enough smart things around here, but I do like setting up shell commands to execute scripts via buttons....

so we'll see how it goes.

repurposing the #Pi4 from an #OSMC box to a #RetroPie one to try that out again. The #FireStick 4K with #Kodi replaced it and the #RaspberryPi 3 & 1B are doing their jobs hosting websites and running my #Mastodon #bots well enough that there's no need to mess with that good thing.

I'm curious to see how everything looks on the #OLED now as well; last time I tried RetroPie it was on an older TV set.

Already have the #WiiU Profile Controller connected via Bluetooth and a spare 2.5" 1TB drive hooked up to it and have a ton of stuff making its way over to that little guy.

Ich probiere grad seit 1 Stunde ein #Kodi auf einen Raspberry 3+ mit Touchscreen zu installieren. #Xbian funktioniert der Touch beim Touchscreen nicht. #OSMC zickt auch noch etwas.

Leider scheint das #joyn #Kodi (#OSMC) addon nicht mehr zu funktionieren. #Widevine kann nicht gefunden werden. #jerks würde ich schon ganz gerne sehen 😞

Bon je viens de passer une grande partie de ma soirée à geeker sur #kodi et particulièrement la mouture #osmc pour voir si je pourrais remplacer mon Apple TV avec. Et j’ai avancé mais c’est pas encore gagné… bon j’ai au moins déjà la tv dessus c’est déjà ça. Prochaine étape avoir YouTube.
Et un truc con mais que j’arrive pas à faire sur la musique c’est un simple random et toute ma collection, truc que je fais sans arrêt, mais impossible de trouver comment faire sur kodi.

Set up OSMC on the rpi4 today because the upnp/dlna apps on the Roku and LG tv are crap. Was surprisingly easy to do - then I set up my phone as a remote. Hopefully will be easy to maintain.

I've wanted to try #KDE BigScreen components on my #osmc #vero4k. PlaBi isn't packaged for anything supporting the Vero, so I've leapt down a rabbit hole trying to learn rpm and/or flatpak packaging.

Is kinda hard, don't think I'll be up for it this side of xmas

I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to set up a #upnp server on my #raspi.
So much easier than #osmc which usually works for me, but not my cli-averse family.

I'm about to make some vegan scrambled eggs. Then do the laundry and watch some cartoons or so. Later I want to setup my Kodi again. I've decided to stick with the Libreelec and Kodi, instead of the OSMC, as Libreelec should be better if the power supply is interrupted, the Pi is powered by the TV, so it's turned of when the TV is turned off.
But first coffee, then I'll start.

Does anyone have any experience getting HDMI-CEC to work with #LibreElec on an X86 system?

It works perfectly on a #raspberrypi pi with #OSMC so I know my Samsung TV is configured. Must be something to add to LE which is default on OSMC?

Setting up my old #RaspberryPi 3B with #OSMC. Still a pain to install apps like Netflix unfortunately. This feels way too much like work :blobcat_thisisfine:

Aber die UX ist bislang leider eher unterirdisch.
Suche ich etwas in der #ÖRR-App, sehe ich die Anzeige "311 Suchergebnisse" - nur werden mir keine Ergebnisse angezeigt.
Möchte ich einen livestream bei joyn starten, stürzt die APP ab.
Das ganze hängt hinter einem #PiHole, aber das Protokoll zeigt keine geblockten Aufrufe an.

Irgendwelche Ideen, liebe Gemeinde?
