Put it on too late & you've got a dangly stoma that you've got to squeeze back inside.

Put it on too early & you'll possibly blow out the bag if poop gets stuck around the top of the ostomy bag.

So, I woke up this morning with a nearly full ostomy bag. It would have been too difficult to squeeze all the contents out, so I changed the bag.

My stoma (named "Lil Bitch") has just now half-filled the new bag with "soft serve", which is difficult to get out of a bag, even if you've added some baby oil.

Update 2:

Tried it again yesterday evening. My stoma quickly spat out the partially-dissolved capsule before it could be fully broken down.

I'd say that this method is a bust unless you specifically put on a tight ostomy belt immediately after inserting the progesterone capsule.

I couldn't find a definitive answer to whether you can "boof" (take rectally) a progesterone capsule into a stoma rather than via the regular rectal route.

For science, I have just gently inserted one an inch or two into my stoma, then put on my ostomy belt, so it doesn't work its way out overnight.

I'll let you know how it goes 😌
