Been trying out Ostriv, a nice peaceful settlement builder from Ukraine.

And what a charming game it is! Just got totally absorbed in watching the people build their cottages - so much attention to detail. I loved watching how much effort was put into the building animations - even down to the people building their stove and chimney - this despite the fact you can't even see inside once the roof is on!

is a city-builder with total freedom of placement and rotation. Fish and grow crops in the summer, prepare food and supplies for winter. Trade with neighbors by land or river. It's available from and .

The residents plant their own flowers in front of their house, and their own personal gardens in the houses with fenced-in land. They can sell their extra produce to the town granary for extra income. 😊 💙

Started a new map in Ostriv. This is a great game, recommended for anyone who enjoys city building, simulation, management, strategy type games. It's available on GOG and Steam. The developer has been a bit delayed by some conflict happening in his hometown of Kharkiv, Ukraine, but he still surfaces from time to time with notes about progress.
