Just went back on the #OtherPlace for a quick doomscroll and it’s all blinking adverts and stuff I’m not interested in. No wonder #RIPTwitter #IHeartMastodon #NoAdverts

It's pretty refreshing to have a timeline worth reading, line by line. Makes me realise that every 5th post in the #OtherPlace was an ad, and how passive-aggressive Quote Tweeting often was.

I am a person with strange and strongly-held opinions about many things, including but not limited to: #Gaming, #TableTopGames, #Books, #Fanfiction, #PersonalFinance, #Linux, #FOSS, and #Leftism. I'm a professional #SoftwareDeveloper and an amateur #Disaster.

Unlike many recent joiners I am not from the #OtherPlace in fact I'm not one for sociai media at all. What drew me here was reading articles that suggest the #Fediverse is more akin to the internet of the #1990s where people were friendly, accepting and more concerned with dialogue than debate. That sounded good to me.

The irony of course being, that on the #otherplace #twitter - you'd end up holding back a lot of your thoughts and tweets because you feared the impact of a pile-on - thus actually being the enemy of free speech in itself.

#AtaMārie koutou, it has been two weeks since my first #toot. I am getting used to putting in multiple #hashtags in things and am loving the #consideration and #tolerance shown by the use of CW’s. I have engaged more than I did over on the #OtherPlace. All that being said I won’t be deleting my account over there. The way things stand right now I will still use it when #breaking things happen in the world, e.g foreign #elections, but my daily use will be here. Thanks for listening, Nga mihi nui!

I'm sorry, it's incredibly gauche to be posting about the #otherPlace, but I'm glued to rubbernecking the accelerating collapse.

Deleting everything (except a signpost here) on the #OtherPlace, I haven't felt social catharsis like this since I deleted F***book about 8 years ago.
