Digging through as many rabbit holes as I can over the past couple days, came across this gem of on back in 1984 (Blackwell, one of the greatest songwriters in US history, wrote "All Shook Up," famously done by Elvis, but also the first song on Beck-Ola, '69). Letterman's early show at its finest!
