At 6:53 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

A confirmed tornado is located 9 kilometres northwest of Metcalfe, moving east at 50 km/h.
