Taken at Trial Bay jail ruins in the Akaroon National Park on the New South Wales Coast. These ruins are well managed and tell some horrific stories of those that were interred there. On this visit there was a sculpture art display and this image was one that appealed to me, thinking of the poor souls that suffered there, looking out at the birds flying free. #FridayWindows #friday #art #Australia #sculpture #OurHistory #landscape #ruins

I read in David Halberstam's book, The Fifties, that you can scan any sit-in protest and find an FBI agent in the crowd observing (clean-cut guys wearing sunglasses indoors).

Be sure to show this to anyone who talks about how institutionalized racism isn't real—here's an example of a law enforcement officer declining to protect the civil rights of Americans.
