On this date in 1938, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer-winning play, OUR TOWN, opened. One of the things that was fun about writing BROADWAY REVIVAL was having my time traveler, David Greenbaum, attend classic shows like this. If you had a time machine, wouldn’t you do that?
But it was a challenge as a writer to consider how David’s views would be tempered by nearly 150 years of theatre history.
