Artyom Novichonok reported comet centaur 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann is in strong outburst on 2022-Nov-22.34 UT at m2 magnitude 12.4 G and posted his observations and an image to social media and email. He noted that the comet should be easily observed with amateur telescopes from 10-15 cm in aperture.
m2 magnitudes are nuclear magnitudes or the brightness of the central condensation. G band is Gaia broadband.
This #centaur #comet #outburst is approximately 4 magnitude brightness increase.
